Bourjois Rouge Velvet Lipsticks
Bourjois has always been one of those brands that I never tried a lot of and 9 times out of 10 I'd walk right by their makeup stand. Why? Well I guess it's because they don't really release things that I find I really want to try. I used to really want to try their foundations but sadly they are all too yellow toned for my skin and I guess since then I just hard pass right by the makeup stands. However they did recently release a lipstick version of their best selling Rouge Velvet range and I was quite intrigued to find out if they really were that good or was it just another hype on Instagram.

I picked up three shades that looked like the type of colours I'd wear a lot rather than just wear once and then throw it back into my lip makeup drawer. The shades I picked up from L-R 03, 08 and 11.

So these are a matte formula but my god this is where I'm gonna start blabbering. Okay so take a matte lipstick what do you instantly think of? Because for me it's great lips for an hour and then their just dry and sore and just yuck. So when I did pick these up I was like do I really want another matte lipstick, let alone three as I don't really get on with them and prefer them in liquid form. However I still went ahead and got them because who says no to new makeup bits to add to their ever growing makeup stash.

So I got home and added them neatly to my lip drawer and honestly they sat their untouched for about a week until I decided to give one a try and then it happened. THE MOST CREAMIEST NON DRYING MOST COMFORTABLE WEARING MATTE LIPSTICK I'VE EVER CROSSED PATHS WITH *contains excitement....* I mean literally I couldn't believe it, legit they are like butter I cannot get over how creamy they are like I am shook.

My favourite is definitely the 03 shade. It is just the most perfect orangey toned nude that I cannot get enough of it and it's just perfect for everyday wear.

If you have yet to try these like I literally just beg you to go and swatch them just to feel how creamy they are. Also even though they are so creamy because of their matte finish their lasting power is pretty epic and I literally can see myself picking up every other shade in the collection just because why not.

I definitely don't think I'll be waltzing by the Bourjois stand again anytime soon.
