Samples are a great way to try out new products before deciding if they are for you or not, and lets be honest there is nothing fun about spending €30+ on a product and then it not living up to your expectations. So here are the few samples I picked up in the past month.

Bare Minerals Bare Skin Liquid Foundation
I actually received this in with an order I got from Brown Thomas and I was really pleased about getting a sample because I adored Bare Minerals mineral foundation (post here) and so when I heard they were bringing out a liquid foundation I got so excited. I received this in the colour bare natural 07 which sadly is way too dark for my skin tone. Darn you snow white skin! However I still tried it on my face I looked orange but it is the most lightweight liquid foundation I have ever tried and feels so soft on the skin. I may go to a retailer to get colour matched and purchase some, I really can't get over how soft and lightweight it feels.

Dermalogica Sheer Tint in Light
I got this from a salon that stocks Dermalogica, and due to Dermalogica prices this wasn't something I wanted to buy a full size product of straight away, and to be honest I am so glad I didn't. Honestly I didn't enjoy this product at all. Its supposed to give you some coverage as well as moisturizing your skin, (there was also a slightly orange shine to it) while yes it did moisturise your skin (although I did find it stuck to the dry skin around my nose and didn't help it) the coverage wasn't great. If I was to wear this it would have to be when my skin is in immaculate condition which is rarely.

Rimmel Matte BB Cream in Light
BB creams aren't my favourite thing in the world but considering I liked the Maybelline one I thought I'd like this one. I just found it quite thick especially on the skin. I dont know maybe it's just me who felt that way but I didn't get on with this product at all sadly. Again this was also slightly to orange for my skin tone.

Benefit They're Real Push Up Liner
Firstly how adorable is the sample! I got this off the girl working behind the benefit counter while purchasing some products. (Although the benefit stands in boots are now doing a special that if you trade in any old eyeliner they will give you this sample to try it out) Now I adore gel liner if you didn't already know but to be honest I wasn't the first one to go out and buy this, and I still don't have the full size one only this and the travel sized one. I'm still unsure of how I feel about this product to be honest, you definitely have to work fast with it as it dries really fast. The shape of the brush helps create the perfect wing but honestly you can just use a winged liner brush for the same effect. However if you can't use a brush because your hand shakes then yes this could be easier to use. (sorry for no mascara on in the photo I had no makeup on other than this on one eye just to show it)

Have you used any of these products, do you get samples to try out products first?
